INDIANA (PA)—Mifflin County crowned three champions and six total medal winners at the Bo Wood Invitational Tournamenton Saturday.

Blake Aumiller (133), Parker Kearns (152), and Deakon Schaeffer (160) won gold for the Huskies. Kamden Everly (127) and Jacob Cunningham (145) finished second, and Lucas Sheetz (139) took third.

Aumiller defeated Jack Lowe of Wheeling Park (VA) 10-7 in the finals. The Husky junior jumped out fast with an 8-0 lead, thanks to a takedown and back-to-back three-point nearfalls. Lowe narrowed the lead with a reversal and two-nearfall points.

Lowe reduced the deficit to 8-7 with a two-point nearfall to start the second period. Aumiller reversed to make it 10-7. Aumiller rode out Lowe in the third for the victory.

Kearns, ranked tenth in the state, beat Quinton Velas of Wheeling (WV) 6-0 for his championship. Takedowns in the first and third periods and a reversal in the second made the difference.

Schaeffer eked out a 4-2 win over North Star’s Conor Yoder in the finals. After a scoreless opening two minutes, the Husky junior chose defense and hit a reversal for the 2-0 lead.

Yoder escaped, ending the first 2-1. Yoder escaped again in the second to even things up going into the third. Schaeffer took neutral and notched the winning takedown with a minute left.

Everly came up short in his bid for a championship to Baldwin’s Ramil Islamov, losing by fall in 1:57. Cunningham dropped an 11-4 decision to Wheeling Park’s Bradyn Lucas in the finals.

Sheetz opened a 4-0 lead on Conemaugh Township’s Dylan Hovanec before recording the fall in 2:02 for third.

The Huskies went 10-0 in the opening round.

Mifflin County came in second in the team race with 128 points. Wheeling Park (WV) won the title with 157 points.
