Capperella No-Hits Huntingdon in Red Raider win

BELLEFONTE –  No! No! Yes! Yes!

It was an early No-No!!

Bellefonte pitcher Dominic Capperella had total control on the mound and his opponents en route to a no hitter Thursday afternoon against Huntingdon.

His offense gave him a huge hand as the Red Raiders went on for the 12-0 five inning victory.

Leading the offense for Bellefonte were Derek Fravel, Alexander Ebeling, Trevor Johnson and  Payton Vancas who all posted two hits each.

Fravel also led the team in RBIs with three.

Rounding out the multiple RBIs were Braedyn Kormanic, Triston Heckman, Triston Heckman and Vancas.

Both defenses took control of the first two-and-a-half innings.

An 8-run third sparked the Red Raiders.

Kormanic opened the inning with a walk.

Fravel followed in Kormanic’s footsteps also walking, putting runners on first and second.

Ebeling singled to left field, loading the bases for Johnson.

Johnson hustled out a single to first, allowing Kormanic to score and keeping the bases loaded.

Heckman notched an RBI single on a chopper to the left fielder, Fravel scores. As does Ebeling, making it a 3-0 advantage with Johnson advances to 3rd and Heckman at first.

Corman keeps the rally going as he lifts a pop fly single to right scoring Johnson while Heckman moves up to third

Vancas doubled on a smash

line drive to left field which scored Heckman on the play while .Corman advances to third.

Heckman steals second , Putting him  officially in scoring position.

Kormanic gets the crowd cheering hard as he tripled on a line drive to center, scori both Corman and Vancas.

Funk comes into run for Kormanic and is quickly brought home by Fravel on a single to center, making it  8-0.

Capperella continued to fly through the order as he was lazer focused while on the mound.

Bellefonte added runs in the four more in the fourth to send the game home early with the 12-0 victory.
