HOLLIDAYSBURG – The streak continues!!

Since losing their first game of the season, the Bellefonte baseball team has been undefeated and came out unscathed to a record of 12-1 overall and 9-0 in the Mountain League.

Tuesday, the Red Raiders topped Hollidaysburg in a 6-2 contest.

Picking up the win for Bellefonte was Derek Fravel. Fravel went six innings, allowing one hit and two unearned runs, striking out six and walking six.

Leading the offensive punch on the night were Triston Heckman (2-for-2,run) and Alex Ebeling (2-for-4, 2RBIs, run).

Hollidaysburg opened up with the early lead, scoring two in the bottom of the second.

Bellefonte battled back to tie the game in the third.

Ebeling started things off with a one-out single past the second baseman.

Heckman doubled and moved Ebeling to third.

Trevor Johnson singled a moved Heckman to third while Ebeling scored.

Josh Brown grounded out into a fielders choice, scoring Heckman on the play to tie the game at two.

The two teams battled back and forth through the fourth and fifth.

With the game tied going into the sixth, the Red Raiders took the lead for good, posting two runs.

Ebeling roped a 2-out double, scoring Braedyn Kormanic and Fravel to jump ahead 4-2.

Bellefonte added two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh as the Red Raiders took home the 6-2 win over the Tigers.
