Bellefonte cross country visited Penns Valley this evening for a dual meet. Already down a few athletes from both teams. Both Bellefonte Varsity teams pulled out wins in Spring Mills, PA. 

Bellefonte Girls scored 23, Penns Valley Girls 32

Bellefonte Boys scored 27, Penns Valley Boys 30

Addison Fry led the way in the girls race and stayed up front to win with a time of 20:43. Emma Burger had a sprint to the finish placing 3rd with a time of 24:41. Anna Tyson placed 5th with a time of 25:30. Alexis Fravel placed 6th 25:47 and teammate Ruthann Smoyer placed 8th 27:47. 

On the boys side, Bellefonte went one, two and three to help the boys move to 6-0 in league competition. Taking the win was Kaiden Williams 17:44, Jonathan Gasper placed 2nd 17:51 and Maverick Muchmore 18:10completed the top 3 finishing positions. Kaiden Musser was Bellefonte’s forth runner placing 10th.

“Today showed once again, this team gives great effort. Even when we had some teammates out today. Everyone encourages each other to do their very best.,” said Bellefonte coach Chad Wiler. “Very proud of the team.”

Junior High also got the chance to compete today at Penns Valley. Gunther Kull was impressive once again winning the boys race in 12:55. Bowen Williams had a good run placing 2nd with a time of 13:39. Ethan Karmelita placed 4th 14:56and Hudson Manning placed 5th 15:34. Braeden Strohm 6th 15:39, Hyrum Jones 16:50, Justin Roberts 18:26.

Alissa Kyte-Yech earned her second win of the season with a time of 15:34. Teammates Katie Spotts placed third 17:32 and then came Emily Moretz 17:54. Emma Crater 18:48, Haddie Lutz 18:59, Megan Showers 19:16 and Molly Showers 19:19.

“It was very encouraging to watch all of our teams compete today,” said Wiley. “We are halfway through the season and everyone keeps getting better. “
