Jumping back over .500!
The Bellefonte softball team made the leap to 4-3 on the year Saturday with a 6-3 win over Williamsport in the second game in consecutive days. Both wins.
Picking up the win for the Lady Raiders was Carley Clarkson. Clarkson finished the day with six hits, three runs and striking out four in the complete game victory.
Taking the loss for the Lady Millionaires was Taryn Reed who only went two and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and four runs while walking one.
Home runs highlighted Bellefonte’s Saturday morning starting out with Taylor Brown’s round tripper in the second to get the scoring started.
The Red Raiders added more in the third, posting three.
Bellefonte got big hits byJosselyn Nau, Brown, and Jaylee Lose, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Madison Melius had a dinger in the sixth inning to end the Bellefonte scoring.
When the dust settled, the Lady Raiders punched out nine hits in the game with multiple hits coming from Lose, Brown, and Melius.
