The Bellefonte softball team is starting to turn the corner as it topped a very talented Penns Valley team, 7-1 Thursday night.

Offensively, the Red Raiders got multiple hits from Madison Melius, Regan Manning and Taylor Brown. Manning finished with four RBIs and a home run.

Scotty Dinges led the Lady Rams with two hits of her own.

Highlighting the night for Penns Valley was a home run from

Josselyn Nau picked up the win for the Lady Raiders. Nau went the distance allowing only one run on seven hits.

Avery Dinges took the loss for the Rams.

Bellefonte scored two in the second to take an early lead.

Bellefonte got things started in the second inning when Manning singled, scoring one run.

The Red Raiders added an extra run later in the inning.

Penns Valley battled back in the bottom of the inning, cutting it to a 2-1 contest. That would come via a round tripper by Haddley Stover.

Both defenses held strong until the top of the fifth. Bellefonte would once again rally to plate five in the fifth to put the game on ice for the visitors.
