CRESSON – It was a smashing good time!!
In a history making contest, the Bellefonte bats exploded onto the scene in its District 6 Class AAA championship game against Obama Academy.
Offensively, the Lady Raiders pounded out 16 hits en route to a 27-0 victory and captured the District 6 crown.
Defensively, Bellefonte allowed just one hit in the three inning contest.
Regan Manning had a career day posting a 2-for-4 effort with four runs scored and eight RBIs. Highlighting her night was a home run and a triple.
Jaylee Lose also had a night to remember at the plate as she finished with a home run three hits and five RBIs.
Sierra Barnhart also went downtown posting a 2-for-3 night and a Homer of her own. She finished with five RBIs and four runs.
Hailey Rimmey rounded out the top hitters on the night for the Lady Raiders with a perfect 3-for-3 effort. She sported four RBIs and two runs scored.
Seven players finished the contest with at least one hit.
In the first inning, Bellefonte opened with 15 runs.
Things continued to roll for Bellefonte as they picked up 12 in their next at bats.
Picking up the win for the Lady Raiders was Josselyn Nau. Nau allowed one hit while striking out four.
