Friday night the Bellefonte girls basketball team left everything out on the court but fell short late, falling to Clearfield 60-50.
The Red Raiders were led by Maria Cotter with 13. Teammate Mackenzie Ellenberger followed up with 11.
Clearfield was led by Riley Ryan’s game-high 25 points as teammate Cayleigh Walker had 24 in the victory.
“ It was vailant effort by the team tonight. A game that we deserved to win but it is hard to compete with a free throw differential of 25 in the second half,” said Bellefonte coach Marcus Toomer. “We played great defense and made a lot of great shots.”
Bellefonte’s overall record is 0-9 and 0-5 in the Mountain League. Next Game for Bellefonte is against P-O Tuesday.
