The Bellefonte girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday as its offense churned out a 59-32 win over Philipsburg-Osceola.

Leading the way for the Red Raiders were Taylor Brown (17), Maria Cotter (14) and Madison Ripka (10).

The Mounties was led by Khendyl Sharrer with 14.

“A great first win for the team. It was a complete team effort and all of the hard work we have put in at practice paid off,” said Bellefonte coach Marcus Toomer. “This is a great way for us to propel ourselves in a positive direction in the remaining 12 games.”

Bellefonte’s Record is 1-9 and 1-5 in the Mountain League.
