The Bald Eagle Area softball team easily dispatched Bishop Carroll on Tuesday, 15-0.
The Eagles got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Addisyn Burns grounded out, and Bald Eagle scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.
The Lady Eagles added seven more runs in the bottom of the second inning on six hits. Sierra Albright singled, scoring one run, Taylor Habovick singled, scoring one run, Taylor Johnson grounded out, scoring one run, Alexa Baney singled, scoring one run, and Raelee Repasky homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Bald Eagle scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. Johnson grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Harlee Witherite singled, scoring two runs, and Albright singled, scoring two runs.
Albright earned the win for the Eagles. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking none. Hannah Strittmater took the loss for Bishop Carroll. The starter went two and two-thirds innings, allowing 15 runs (nine earned) on 10 hits, striking out none and walking three.
The Eagles collected 10 hits in the game. Albright, Bald Eagle Area Varsity Eagles’s number seven hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. Kailey Eckert collected two hits for the Lady Eagles in two at bats. Bald Eagle didn’t commit a single error in the field. Eckert had the most chances in the field with seven.
