Bald Eagle girls wrestlers have strong showing at Sugar Valley

It was a  great showing for the Bald Eagle Area girls wrestling team at the 2024 Lady Phoenix Christmas Classic Results.

Starting at 106 pounds, Eden Eveleth’s placed first and gave her team 24.0 team points.

Her day started in the quarterfinals  when she received a bye.

Eveleth was dominant in the semi’s when she won by fall over Margarita Ricker (Southern Huntingdon), 0:11.

In the title tilt,  Eveleth won by another quick pin this time over Isla Twoey at 0:51.

Teammate Lily Spicher also wrestled at 106.

Spicer placed in the third slot scoring 14.0 team points.

 

In the Quarterfinal Spicer received a bye.

Semifinal – Isla Twoey (Wellsboro) defeated Spocer in the semifinals by fall over Lily Spicer at 1:29.

In Cons. Semi Spicer received her second bye.

Shocker was golden in her 3rd Place Match as she won by fall over Margarita Ricker (Southern Huntingdon) at 0:33.

The Lady Eagles picked up another first place finish at 112.

Addison Tice’s first place finish has scored 26 points for her team.

In the Quarterfinal, Tice won by fall over Haylee Younkin (Muncy at 0:57.

Tice continued her dominance into the Semifinal.  Tice won by fall over Kohanna Yamashita (Sugar Valley) by fall at 0:22.

Tice finished off her day with a 1st Place Match pin. Tice won by fall over Eva Nagel (Muncy) at 3:20.

Bald Eagle continued to add to its team’s points at 118.

Rebekah Guenot placed 3rd and has scored 16.0 team points.

In her Quarterfinal Guenot won by a late pin over Reese Kieffer (Line Mountain at 4:57

The Semifinal Guenot fell to Kodi Passmore (Wellsboro)by fall at 0:41.

Cons. Semi – Rebekah Guenot (Bald Eagle) received a bye () (Bye)

Guenot bounced back in the 3rd Place Match. Guenot won by fall over Reese Kieffer (Line Mountain) at 1:33.


At 155, Cam Corl-Alton place muscled out a 2nd place finish and scored 20 team points.

In the Quarterfinal – Corl-Alton pinned Kimberlee Brown (Sullivan County) by Fall at 0:49.

The Semifinal Corl-Alton dominated in a pin over Laurel Ramsey (Mifflinburg) at 1:50.

However, in the 1st Place Match, Addison Dangle (Jersey Shore) won by fall over Corl-Alton at 2:55.

At 170, Grace Cestani had a strong effort placing second, helping her team add 22 points.

In the Championship Round 1, Cestani received a bye.

In the Quarterfinal, Cestani won by fall over Bailee Scott 0:41.

Moving onto the Semifinal, Cestani (Bald Eagle) won by fall over Olivia Clester (Sugar Valley) at 0:50.

Cestani had a tough 1st Place Match as Issabella Gotchall (Jersey Shore) won by fall over Grace Cestani at 1:10.

Rounding things out for the girls at 190 was Shaylin Harter. Harter finished in fourth place helping her team by collecting 11 team points.

In her Quarterfinal match she was beaten by Marrin Clester (Sugar Valley) by fall at 0:29.

She rebounded in the first round on the Consolation Round 1 as Harter received a bye.

Consey Semis Harter won by fall over Sadie Plank at 2:33.

Finishing off the night in the 3rd Place Match. Harter fell to Skyanne Little (Mifflinburg) won by tech fall over, 19-0.
