Tayten Yoder was clutch at the plate with ducks on the pond on Monday, driving in five on three hits to lead Bald Eagle Area past McConnellsburg 10-4 on Monday. Yoder drove in runs on a double in the first and a home run in the second.
The Bald Eagles got things moving in the first inning, when Yoder doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.
Bald Eagle tallied five runs in the second inning. Yoder, Justin Bisel, and Gavin Burns powered the big inning with RBIs.
Wyatt Coakley was the winning pitcher for the Bald Eagles. Coakley went six and a third innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one. Weston McClain threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Wyatt Hershey was on the mound for McConnellsburg. Hershey went one and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on ten hits, striking out three and walking one. Landin Gress and Jackson Clevenger entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and two innings respectively.
Bald Eagle launched three home runs on the day. Bisel had a long ball in the second and fifth innings. Yoder went for the long ball in the second inning.
The Bald Eagles racked up 14 hits. Yoder, Parker Quick, Tyler Serb, Bisel, and Kahale Burns each managed multiple hits for Bald Eagle Area. Quick and Yoder each collected three hits to lead Bald Eagle.
