TYRONE – A flare for the dramatics.

That’s been the theme for the Bald Eagle boys basketball team this week as they found themselves in yet another last minute thriller, this time the Eagles topped Tyrone in its second overtime thriller of the week.

In the first overtime win, the Eagles defeated Hollidaysburg Tuesday.

Friday, the Eagles defeated Tyrone 52-51.

Blaze Angellotti led the offense for the Eagles, posting a 15-point effort.

Teammate Cam Watkins followed with 14.

Cam Watkins rounded out the leading scorers for Bald Eagle with 12.

The Golden Eagles and Bald Eagles tied early on as both posted 11 points in the first quarter and 10 points in the second, knotting the game at 21 at the intermission.

Tyrone would break the stalemate by the end of the third quarter, outscoring Bald Eagle 15-13.

But the Bald Eagles came roaring back in the final stanza to set up the overtime period, 19-7.

In the overtime period, Serb came alive from beyond the three-point line posting two triples to help take home the victory.
