Bellefonte boys take care of Central Cambria

Continuing their strong 2025 campaign the Bellefonte boys soccer team notched yet another win, defeating Central Cambria 5-2.

For the second game in a row, Connelle Stabinger posted another hat trick.

Bellefonte jumped out to the lead early in the first half. At 7:23 Stabinger scored via an assist by Ian Orr.

He lit it up again at 10:41. Stabinger posted another hat trick unassisted blast to take a 2-0 advantage into the second half.

It didn’t take long for John Servant to add to the Red Raiders lead.  At 49:01 Servant blasted a screamer to make it a 3-0 advantage.

Central Cambria’s first goal came at the 60:48 mark. Posting the unassisted goal was Rocco Barra.

Bellefonte jumped back onto the board at 72:30 thanks to an Oliver Thornburg blast.

Rounding out the Red Raiders goals at 75:09 was Stabinger’s third goal, giving him the hat trick.

At 76:37, Central Cambria’s Jonathon Rivera ended the game scoring as the Red Raiders took home the Laurel Highland contest.

“We played a really solid game tonight. We passed the ball really well tonight and got good play from our midfield pushing the ball forward,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “We gave their goalie a good workout and he made some really nice saves. Defensively,  we played well gave up two late goals but we as coaches take responsability for those. The players played really well. It was a really solid week for the guys I’m proud of how they played this week.”

Next game Monday at home vs Huntingdon at 6:00.

Bellefonte outshot Central Cambria 23-7.
