Mifflin County JH snatched the lead late in their 2-1 victory over Williamsport Millionaires MS on Monday. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the fourth when Kayla Velez singled, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Mifflin County JH pitcher Grayce Napikoski, struck out nine while Williamsport Millionaires MS sat down nine.

An error from a bad throw to first by Aubree Lauver put Williamsport Millionaires MS on the board in the top of the fourth.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Mifflin County JH went back into the lead after Grayce Napikoski tripled to center field, and Kayla Velez singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Grayce earned the win for Mifflin County JH. The starter surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out nine and walking two. Lucia M took the loss for Williamsport Millionaires MS. The hurler went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out nine and walking one.

Grayce Napikoski and Kayla Velez were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Mifflin County JH. Aubree Lauver, Grayce Napikoski, Kayla Velez and Gianna Grenninger each collected one hit for Mifflin County JH. Mifflin County JH softball turned one double play in the game.

Lucia and Brea S each collected one hit for Williamsport Millionaires MS. Williamsport Millionaires MS didn’t commit a single error in the field. Lainey G had the most chances in the field with nine.
