The Mifflin County Cross Country Lady Huskies ran their third race in a week on Tuesday afternoon in State College. The State College team had plenty of depth to their roster and came away with the win, 15-50.
This has been an intense week of racing which makes it harder to compete well since we don’t have a lot of depth to our roster. The plus side is it’s great work to see results later in the season. Despite the intense week, we can still celebrate some victories today.
Ava Kratzer continues to be a strong anchor on the team. Not only did she have another great race, she helped a teammate run great as well. Lizzy Massie matched her Friday PR on a different course and later in the day.
Maya Morgan had a great day and is making great progress moving closer to her PR time. She looked strong today and I am excited to see her progress as we get deeper into the season. She helped pull in teammates, Reagan Sheetz and Caroline Palopoli who were close behind her.
The Lady Huskies are gearing up for another tough race this weekend at the PIAA Foundations Invitational in Hershey, which is held on the state championship course.
Scoring for the Huskies:
Ava Kratzer- 21:48
Lizzie Massie- 23:25
Maya Morgan- 26:19
Caroline Palopoli- 26:24
Reagan Sheetz- 26:46
