Friday night the Juniata Indians football team went head-to-head with an always tough foe Line Mountain squad.

It was a down night for the Indians as Line Mountain blanked Juniata 35-0.

The Eagles opened the game posting a touchdown in the opening quarter.

Line Mountain added two more touchdowns in the second quarter to take a 21-0 advantage going into the second half.

In the third quarter, the Indians were able to keep the Line Mountain offense in check.

But in the final stanza, the Eagles added two more scores to add to their lead.

Juniata’s Jasper Shepps led the team in rushing with 64 yards in the loss.

Most of that came via a 37-yard run. Shepps also finished with 32 kick return yards.

He also finished with 10 tackles to lead the defense. Teammate Quinton Houtz also led the team with 10 tackles as well.

Juniata travels to James Buchanan next Friday.
