The Mifflin County Huskies will look to take their undefeated record with them as they take a road trip across US-22 and US 322 east to John H Frederick Field home of the Mechanicsburg Wildcats for a conference matchup it will be a battle of the unbeaten.

It was a tail of two different seasons for both of these teams a year ago the Wildcats are coming off one of their best seasons in school history making it to the first round of the 2024 Piaa state football tournament the Wildcats would fall to a really good Bishop McDevitt team in the regular season they held a 10-0 record in the regular season.

Mifflin County on the other hand missed out on the playoffs; they were also handed a loss to the Wildcats last season 40-6 in week three.

Mechanicsburg has a lot of returning talent that they had with them during their historic season last year.Let’s name a few Jack Deluca Jj Gould Noah Apple Alex Pida Drake Dawson. The Wildcats have 21 seniors on the team this season so they bring a lot of experience.

Mifflin County’s defense hasn’t allowed a point in their first two games they have outscored their two opponents 56-0 in their first two games.

Mifflin County totaled 212 yards against Northern a week ago the Polar Bears had more yards than the Huskies with 221.Mifflin County’s defense came to play forcing three turnovers in the teams 14-0 win over the Polar Bears.

Huskies quarterback Chase Hartung has made the plays when needed he has a ratio of 5-0 he has yet to throw an interception he has thrown five touchdowns so far this season

Mifflin County has ran the ball a lot Jaxon Strohecker talled 47 yards on 13 attempts Mifflin County had a hard time stopping the run though giving up 93 yards on 32 attempts that was the most this season given up by the Huskies defense so they will look to do better this week against the Wildcats.

Joel Beamer led in yards with 40 hauling in two passes while Easton Zook was second on the team with 34.

Mechanicsburg is coming off a 35-7 win over Palmyra on Saturday.

The Wildcats excel at everything they do that is the reason why they accomplished so much a year ago Mifflin County is coming in a little banged up the Wildcats have playmakers on both sides of the ball i expect them to take away the passing game and make the Huskies run the football and make them one dimensional Mifflin County did enough a week ago to earn the win it will be tough this week give me the Wildcats.
