The UPLL 10Us defeated the Bellefonte 10Us 15-5 on Friday thanks in part to eight runs in the sixth inning.
UPLL got on the board in the top of the third inning after Nathan B tripled down the right field line, Declan K singled down the right field line, and Ryan L singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
UPLL scored eight runs on nine hits in the top of the sixth inning.
Kobie Urbanik led things off on the hill for Bellefonte. The righty allowed six hits and three runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking four.
Leadoff hitter Rylan Shivery led Bellefonte with three hits in three at bats. Austin Blasi, Thomas Terza, Lucas Heron and Shivery each drove in one run for Bellefonte District. 10U Bellefonte had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Blasi, Caroline Albright, Heron, and Bryson Tressler led the team with two bases on balls each. Bellefonte didn’t commit a single error in the field. Terza had the most chances in the field with five.
UPLL piled up 18 hits in the game.
