STATE COLLEGE – Well baseball fans! We are finally here. After weeks of baseball, we will all soon find out who will be the Centre County Baseball League champions as the Howard Hawks will go up against the Spike Island Pirates.

The Hawks had to go through the Spring Mills Braves during their semi-final matchup while Spike Island defeated the Blanchard Bees.

Game one will be set today with the home field advantage going to the Howard Hawks. The Hawks are led by all-stars Tyler Serb and Kahale Burns as well as Bryan and Bryce Greene and Parker Quick.

But the Spike Island Pirates also have plenty of all-stars on their roster as well. Four to be exact in pitcher Ryan Whitehead, catcher Isaac Tiracoda, outfielder Zac Tiracorda and designated hitter Miles Brooks.

We will all soon find out who will be number one in this five game series. Again, game one will be today July 24 at 6 p.m. over at Howard Elementary baseball field.
