Mifflin County All Star team scored 10 runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat MBR All Stars 17-2 on Tuesday. Jaren Kenny singled, scoring two runs, Liam Shaffer singled, scoring one run, Jason D’Ambrosio induced Jude Zook to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, an error scored one run, Landon Rhodes drew a walk, scoring one run, Karl Shirey hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Jaden King doubled, scoring two runs, and Wyatt Parkes tripled, scoring one run.
Mifflin County extended their early lead with four runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Zook and Bo Benny.
Mifflin County added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after MBR All Stars committed an error, and MBR All Stars committed an error, each scoring one run.
Benny earned the win for Mifflin County. The righty allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking none. D’Ambrosio took the loss for MBR All Stars. The pitcher went one-third of an inning, giving up nine runs (five earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking four. Cullen Busch collected the save.
Mifflin County m accumulated 12 hits in the game. Benny led Mifflin County with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The pitcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Parkes, Rhodes, and Shaffer each collected two hits for Mifflin County.
Ryder Stackhouse and Xavier Cochran were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for MBR All Stars. Stackhouse and Cochran were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for MBR All Stars.
