Both teams were strong on the hill on Monday, but UAMBA All-Stars was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-2 victory over MC All-Stars. Colin Detwiler started the game for MC 8U All-Stars and recorded 12 outs.
MC All-Stars 8U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Shane Hostetler singled down the right field line, and Karsyn Stein grounded out, each scoring one run.
UAMBA captured the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the third scoring one 3 runs.
Detwiler opened the game for MC. The pitcher allowed five hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking one.
Stein and Hostetler each drove in one run for MC 8U. Detwiler went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead MC in hits.
