Congratulations to Penns Valley softball pitcher Taylor Bumgardner as she was voted as Hometown Sports Centre County Female Athlete for May.

Taylor had quite the memorable May.

Taylor Bumgardner stays from Penns Valley in May:

• Broke the school single season HR record with 8
• Broke the school career HR record with 16
• Set the school Strikeout record with 556 (3rd in Centre County History)
• Got her 100th hit vs Central Cambria 
• Has a .520 Earned Run Average as a pitcher for the season (probably a school record)
• Hit over .500 in May with 4 HRs
• Pitched 9 scoreless innings vs BEA in an 11 inning marathon without giving up an earned run.
