From the fields of Philipsburg-Osceola to the national stage with Millersville University, Keegan Soltis built a baseball career defined by grit, versatility, and championship pedigree.
A 2020 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School, Soltis capped off a stellar five-year run at Millersville this spring, emerging as a key figure in one of the most successful stretches in program history. Known for his ability to play multiple positions, get on base, and deliver in clutch moments, Soltis became a cornerstone of the Marauders’ nationally ranked squad.
After redshirting in 2021, Soltis made an immediate impact in 2022. In his first career start, he went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs against Clarion University. That performance set the tone for a breakout season, as he helped lead Millersville to both a PSAC East, PSAC Tournament Championship and NCAA Regional appearance.
The 2023 season saw Soltis elevate his game even further. Starting 53 games, he hit .333 with 14 doubles, four home runs, and 35 RBIs. His 17 multi-hit games and timely power—including a crucial two-run homer against Seton Hill—helped punch Millersville’s ticket to the NCAA Division II World Series in Cary, North Carolina, where they entered as the No. 1 team in the nation.
In 2024, Soltis showcased his full range of skills, playing third base, left field, designated hitter, and even catcher. His efforts earned him All-PSAC East Utility Player honors, as well as All-Atlantic Region recognition from both ABCA/Rawlings and D2CCA. He was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week after a dominant series against Mansfield, where he hit .818 with eight RBIs, three doubles, and two home runs. He finished the season with a .309 average, a .455 on-base percentage, and an eight-game hitting streak.
Before his collegiate success, Soltis was a standout at Philipsburg-Osceola, where he earned 11 varsity letters across baseball, basketball, football, and golf. A three-time Offensive MVP and Progressland/Altoona Mirror First Team selection, he was named the 2019 Progressland Player of the Year after hitting .500 with 33 hits, 30 RBIs, and six home runs in his junior season. A two-time Mountain League First Team honoree in both baseball and golf, Soltis was on pace to break several school records before the COVID-19 pandemic cut short his senior campaign.
From small-town standout to collegiate star, Keegan Soltis’ journey is a testament to hard work, adaptability, and a love for the game that continues to inspire young athletes across the region.
