BURNHAM – Wednesday, Burnham welcomed in Belltown for a Babe Ruth matchup. Burham is coming off a title last season while Belltown is three years removed from a title earning it all three years ago. Two teams with history battled it out at the Burnham Jamboree grounds on a warm night.

Burnham was led by strong pitching from veteran hurler Liam Shaffer, almost going the distance on 11 strikeouts; he was removed because of the pitch count rule.

Burham had just one extra base hit in the game that would account for a run in the game coming off the bat of Cohnen Leister Blake Royer.Noah Wofkiel and Shaffer all had hits in the teams 3-2 win over Belltown.

Kale Beaver toed the rubber for Belltown as he had a good performance as well.  So did his teammate Luke Shawver.

Belltown was also led by some strong hitting especially from the Baker Brothers. Kyler Baker came in clutch driving in the first run of the game on a RBI triple to tie the game at 1-1. Baker would also score a run on a wild pitch that would pull Belltown within one of Burham. Kaden Baker also had a extra base hit in the game. He ended up being the tying run on second base. Colton Leister would be called out on strikes to end what looked like a game tying winning run that would be left on second base. For both teams it was a well played game and had a little bit of everything good hitting, good pitching, and good fielding Burham wins 3-2 over Belltown.
