Mifflin County Huskies Fall After Strong Showing By Cedar Cliff

The Mifflin County Huskies had trouble keeping up with Cedar Cliff in a 10-1 loss on Monday.

A tag up by Michael Boblick put Cedar Cliff on the board in the bottom of the first.

The Colts added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Luke Sowers singled to left field, and Boblick flew into a double play, each scoring one run.

A double by Ian Ripple extended the Cedar Cliff lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Logan Alexander stepped on the hill first for the Huskies. The pitcher surrendered six hits and four runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Sowers led things off on the hill for the Colts. The starter gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one.

Jayden Smith led Mifflin County with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Tye Plank, Evan Strohecker, and Smith each collected two hits for Mifflin County. The Huskies turned one double play in the game. Mifflin County  didn’t commit a single error in the field. Elliott Yetter had the most chances in the field with seven.

Cedar Cliff tallied 11 hits in the game. Sowers, Boblick, and Ripple each collected two hits for the Colts. Boblick led Cedar Cliff with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Cedar Cliff had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Blake Secrest and Will Kocher led the team with two free passes each. The Colts turned one double play in the game.
