Huskies track team competes at Mt.Lion Classic

The Huskies traveled to Altoona to compete in the Mt. Lion Classic on Friday night. Carter Smith ran a great race in the 800, taking first place with a meet record setting time of 1:51.94. In the same event, Wyatt Kauffman crushed his previous best, with a third-place finish in 1:55. 05. Michael McNitt earned top honors in both hurdle races, taking fifth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.70 and fourth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 42.56. Addie Ross accomplished her goal by jumping 9’0″ in pole vault, earning fourth place in the event. Mia Coffey ran an impressive time of 12:18.30 in the 3200, which placed her eighth in the event. Other place winners of the meet were Reese Cubbison (5th, 1600, 4:31.70), Aidan Scavitti (7th, 1600, 4:34.90), Trevan Diven (8th, 400, 52.86), Koy Aurand (5th, 3200, 9:53.69), 4×800 relay team of Connor Lynch , Styers Oden, Hart Oden, and David Snyder (7th, 8:36.55), 4×400 relay team of Trevan Diven, Wyatt Kauffman, Camryn Treaster and Connor Lynch (8th, 3:38.39) and Reece Bell (5th, Javelin, 158’9″).
