State College beat Williamsport Varsity Millionaires 4-1 on Friday.

The Little Lions got on the board in the top of the fifth inning after an error scored one run, Paige Moriarta tripled, scoring two runs, and Sarah Mellott singled, scoring one run.

Addison Harpster earned the win for State College. The starter allowed three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. Bailey Livermore took the loss for the Millionaires. The starter went seven innings, giving up four runs (zero earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking four.

Moriarta provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led State College  with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Moriarta and Mellott were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for the Little Lions while hitting back-to-back.

Emma Vollman, Brenna Beck, and Zaelana Minor each collected one hit for Williamsport. Beck led The Millionaires with one run batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-3 on the day.

Next up for State College is a game at Cumberland Valley on Monday.
