The Mifflin County Huskies Falls To Cedar Cliff

The Mifflin County Lady Huskies could not keep pace with Cedar Cliff 8-3 on Thursday.

A single by Maddy Billus put Cedar Cliff on the board in the top of the first.

Mifflin County tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a tag up by Malaina Maxwell, and a single by Ava Baker.

In the top of the fourth, Cedar Cliff broke up the tie when Teagan Garber singled, scoring one run. Then a double by Brooke Martin followed to extend the lead to 6-2.

Isabelle Keys earned the win for Cedar Cliff. The hurler gave up eight hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out one and walking four. Piper Specht took the loss for Mifflin County. The hurler went five innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking one.

Falynn Reinard led the Lady Huskies with two hits in four at bats. Jalee Bodtorf, Baker, and Macy Pietzsch each drove in one run for Mifflin County. The Lady Huskies turned one double play in the game.

Martin led Cedar Cliff with four runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The shortstop went 2-for-2 on the day. Billus led Cedar Cliff with three hits in four at bats. Cedar Cliff turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Mifflin County is a game against Mechanicsburg on Monday.
