By GameChanger Media The Bellefonte Lady Raiders easily dispatched Hollidaysburg Varsity Softball on Wednesday, 10-0. A home run to left field by Jaylee Lose put the Lady Raiders on the board in the bottom of the first. Bellefonte added one run in the second. Taylor Brown singled, making the score 4-0. The Lady Raiders scored two runs in the bottom of the third on a home run to left field by Brooke Swanger. Bellefonte added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on four hits. Brown hit a solo home run to left field, Ella Herr singled, scoring one run, and Sloan Moore singled, scoring one run. Alaina Smith stepped in the circle first for the Lady Raiders. The starter allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking seven. Marissa Snyder stepped in the circle first for Hollidaysburg. The starter gave up six hits and six runs (five earned) over three innings, striking out none and walking one. Bellefonte accumulated 12 hits in the game. Lose drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Lady Raiders with three runs batted in. The catcher went 3-for-3 on the day. Brown, Ragan Manning, and Moore each collected multiple hits for Bellefonte. The Lady Raiders were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Lose had the most chances in the field with eight. Hollidaysburg had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Genevieve Peacock and Halle Chandler led the team with two bases on balls each. The Eagles turned one double play in the game. Next up for Bellefonte Varsity is a game against Somerset on Friday.
