Alexa Baney Drives 4 Runners Home In Bald Eagle Victory Over Clearfield

Alexa Baney drove in four runs on four hits to lead Bald Eagle Area Eagles softball team past Clearfield 7-0 on Monday. Baney doubled in the sixth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the first inning, scoring one.

Sierra Albright struck out 11 batters on the day. The starting pitcher also gave up two hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking none.

Bald Eagle opened the scoring in the first after Baney singled, scoring one run.

The Lady Eagles added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Addisyn Burns singled down the left field line, and Raelee Repasky hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Joell Henry took the loss for Clearfield. The hurler went six innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out three and walking three.

The Eagles were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Kailey Eckert had the most chances in the field with 11.

Henry and Aevril Hayward each collected one hit for Clearfield. Clearfield were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Madi McBride made the most plays with four.

Bald Eagle Aream will travel to South Williamsport for their next game on Wednesday.
