Bellefonte won big over Bellwood-Antis 7-1 on Monday.
The Raiders were the first to get on the board in the second when Parker Capparelle homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Bellefonte added two runs in the third. Zach Lehman singled to center field, making the score 4-0.
Carsen Henry earned the win for the Red Raiders. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out none and walking two. Noah Gulvas took the loss for the Blue Devils. The hurler went three and one-third innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking three. Cameron Lucas, Isaac Gall, and Capparelle each threw shutout innings for Bellefonte in relief.
The Red Raiders collected nine hits in the game. Lehman drove the middle of the lineup, leading Bellefonte with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Parker VonGunden collected two hits for the Red Raiders in four at bats. Bellefonte turned one double play in the game. The Raiders were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Evan Mattern made the most plays with four.
Zach Gonzalez went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. The Blue Devils’s Tanner Swogger, the number seven hitter, led Bellwood-Antis with two hits in three at bats.
Bellefonte plays at home on Tuesday against Bishop Guilfoyle Varsity Mauraders in their next game.
