PO tops Bald Eagle Area in baseball action

The Philipsburg-Osceola baseball team kept adding on runs in a 6-0 victory over Bald Eagle Area on Tuesday.

Philipsburg-Osceola opened the scoring in the first after a wild pitch scored two runs.

The Mounties extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI errors by Archer Baughman and Parker Lamb.

Baughman earned the win for Philipsburg-Osceola. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over six innings, striking out three and walking three. Graysen White pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for the Eagles. The hurler allowed three hits and two runs (zero earned) while, striking out none and walking two. Wyatt Kowalczyk took the loss for Bald Eagle Area . The starter went two and one-third innings, surrendering four runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out four and walking five.

Teagun Runkle went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead the Eagles in hits.

Bald Eagle Area turned one double play in the game.

Peyton Minarchick led Philipsburg-Osceola with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-1 on the day. Fischer White went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Mounties in hits.

Philipsburg-Osceola had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game.

The Mounties turned one double play in the game.

Bald Eagle will travel to Bellefonte for their next game on Saturday.
