The Bald Eagle Area baseball team had trouble keeping up with Hollidaysburg in a 10-4 loss on Tuesday.
The Tigers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Jay Albarano grounded out, the Eagles committed an error, each scoring one run.
Hollidaysburg added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when EJ Ulery doubled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Vince Boland earned the win for the Tigers. The hurler allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking two. Wyatt Kowalczyk took the loss for the Eagles. The starter went four and two-thirds innings, surrendering seven runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking one.
Bald Eagle accumulated nine hits in the game. Luke Hosband, Teagun Runkle, and Hayden Stimer each collected two hits for the Eagles.
Kaleb Irion, Runkle, Brayden Dublos, and Wyatt Spackman each drove in one run for Bald Eagle Area .
Hollidaysburg piled up nine hits in the game.
Albarano provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Hollidaysburg with four runs batted in. The third baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Albarano, Brady Steiner, Josh Banks, and Ulery each collected two hits for Hollidaysburg. The Tigers turned two double plays in the game.
