WINGATE – The Bellefonte/Bald Eagle Area rivalry took to the basketball court Wednesday as the two went to battle in boys basketball action.

In the end, the Red Raiders came out victorious 47-31.

Leading the way for the Red Raiders was Ryder Hamilton. Hamilton lit up the night posting a game-high 19 points. Liam Halterman finished with a strong 13-point performance. Teammate John Servant chipped in with 10 points.

Bald Eagle’s James Cowan led his team offensively on the night posting 13.

Bellefonte took the first quarter in a tightly contested 12-9 advantage.

They continued to also outscore the Eagles in the second quarter 14-6.

Going into the intermission, Bellefonte led 26-15.

Defensively, the Red Raiders turned it up a notch in the third quarter by shutting out the Eagles while their offense scored 13.

Bald Eagle refused to go away quietly as the took the fourth quarter 16-8.

But it wouldn’t be enough to catch Bellefonte as the Red Raiders finished with the victory.
