Mifflin County Indoor Track and Field traveled to Penn State to compete in the Kevin Dare Invitational. As the highlight of the day, Carter Smith ran the 800m run in an amazing time of 1:51.71. This school record breaking performance currently places him as the US #1 in the event.
Two more Huskies were able to catch the top 8 honors in this prestigious meet. Reese Cubbison placed 7th in the 800m run with a time of 2:00.86. Ethan Plank triple jumped a distance of 39′ 8.25″, also earning 7th place in the event.
Many other athletes achieved season best performances in their events:

Sophia Heider – Triple Jump (26’3.5″)

Falynn Reinard – 60m (9.27)
Danielle Warfel – 400 (1:04.46)
Trevan Diven – 60m (7.85)
Michael McNitt – 60m Hurdles (8.99)
Brayden Stitt – 60m Hurdles (10.30)
Camryn Treaster – 400m (57.02)
The Huskies will be back in action on Wednesday when they return to Penn State for the State College High School Invite #2.
