Lady Huskies dominate Mifflinburg in Friday prime time action

LEWISTOWN – Ushering in Mifflinburg Friday night, the Mifflinburg County girls basketball team was primed and ready to pick up another victory before the end of 2024.

They did so in fine fashion, dropping Mifflinburg 63-22 in front of the fans in the Dawg Pound.

Leading the offensive attack on the night was Jayda Kanagy with 15 points while teammate Payton Weaver added 12.

Jalee Bodtorf and Leah Reed added eight to round out the MIfflin County high scorers.

Offensively, the Lady Huskies came out firing on all cylinders jumping out to a 17-3 after the first quarter.

The scoring continued for MIfflin County as the Purple and Black attack outscored Mifflinburg 15-5 to take a 32-8 advantage going into the intermission.

Mifflin County made it a Mercy Rule contest in the third, outscoring their opponent 16-8 to secure the win.

The Huskies also took home an impressive win in the JV contest, winning 44-16.

Leading scorer was Mya Felmlee with 20.
