The Belleville Mennonite girls basketball team battled a 2-0 East Juniata team hoping to put a “W” in the win column.
However, the Lady Tigers had other ideas as they defeated the Thunder 28-21.
Leading the offensive attack for East Juniata was Landyn Cramer who finished with 13 points while Addison Snyder followed up with 11.
Kaelyn Renno was the leading scorer for BMS with six.
Boys basketball
The East Juniata boys completed the sweep of Belleville Mennonite Friday, taking down the Thunder 63-37.
Leading the way offensively for the Tigers were Wrett Smith with 22 and Jaiden May with 15 points.
Sam Kopacki rounded out double digit scorers with 14.
Bryson Peachey led the charge for Belleville Mennonite with 16. Teammate Clay Ammon dropped in 12 points in a losing effort.
