MIFFLINTOWN- Heading into the home stretch!
The Juniata Indians football team made quick work of Halifax Friday night, defeating the Wildcats 42-8 in front their home crowd.
Quarterback Wyatt Ehrenzeller was near perfect throwing 6-of-7 for 149 yards with a QB passing rating of 165.2.
Running back Ayden Dowling was the Indians’ leading rusher posting 13 carries for 68 yards.
Jasper Shepps and Conner Boreman led Big Red in receiving posting a 76-yard and 73-yard performance, respectively. Boreman also finished his evening posting two touchdowns.
Rounding out the touchdown scorers were Shepps, Gage Harlon and Lane Peiper. Picking up a defensive touchdown was Matt Spriggle.
Kicker Andel Lopez finished with six extra points.
Juniata scored early and often. The Indians posted 14 points in the opening stanza.
Business continued to pick up for “Big Red” in the second, posting 28 more points.
Halifax scored its only touchdown in the final quarter.
With the win, Juniata improves to 6-3 on the season.
