The Juniata football team made the long trip to Greencastle-Antrim Friday night for a prime time showdown.
Unfortunately, the results were not the ones that the Indians were hoping for, falling 40-21 to the Blue Devils.
After a scoreless first quarter, Greencastle and Juniata both found the end zones on numerous occasions. When the buzzer sounded to end the first half, the Blue Devils held a close 21-14 advantage.
In the second half, Greencastle-Antrim took the momentum outscoring Juniata 19-7 to take home the win.
Leading the Indians was Wyatt Ehrenzeller who went 12-20 for 190 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. His longest pass was a 62-yard strike to Connor Boreman. Ehrenzeller also rushed for 27 yards.
Boreman finished his day with three receptions for 113 yards while teammate Jasper Shepps finished with seven catches for 71 yards. He also rushed for 23 yards in the game.
Picking up touchdown for the Indians were Ehrenzeller, Shepps and Boreman. Shepps and Boreman scored their touchdowns through the air while Ehrenzeller posted a rushing score. Shepps also was a factor in special teams play finishing with 58 kick off return yards and punted the ball twice for a total of 107 yards.
Kicker Adel Lopez was perfect in all three PAT tries.
With the loss, the Indians fall to 5-3.
Juniata looks to rebound next Friday as they host winless Halifax.
