In a busy week of action, the Bellefonte boys soccer team muscled out a 2-1 win over Huntingdon Wednesday.
Bellefonte led in shots on goals by a 19-6 margin.
The Red Raiders also held the advantage in corners as well 5-4.
“We started slow tonight. It was a tough game moving the ball on a rough grass surface. 2nd half we picked up our play and put multiple shots on goal just couldn’t get one pass their keeper early,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “We kept the pressure on them but struggled again to find the net. We gave up a late goal in a mishandle from the surface. Overall we played a great 2nd half.
Bellefonte led off the scoring in first half on an Andy geresenko goal at 26:27 thanks to an assist by Connelle Stabinger.
In the 2nd half Bellefonte upped its lead to 2-0 on a Connelle Stabinger goal at 47:22.
Huntingdon scored at 69:31.
With the win Bellefonte improves to 10-2-2.
