Mifflin County 9th graders tops Lower Dauphin
Oct 9, 2024

The Freshman Huskies continued their winning ways tonight against Lower Dauphin 36-12. Offensively the Huskies continue their bruising run game that has propelled them all season.  Asher Pearce got the Huskies on the board first with a rushing touchdown.  Pearce would lead the Huskies offense on the night with 3 rushing touchdowns and 1 passing.  Zyhair Hill would once again lead the Huskies ground game with over 100 yards rushing breaking tackles and some nice shifty runs including a 20 yard touchdown run.  Liam Shaffer led the Huskies receiver’s on the night with 70 yards and a touchdown.  The Husky defense was tough all night long with Eli Henderson and Jacob Goss leading the defense in tackles.  The defense came up with multiple turnovers on the night, highlighted by an interception and return from King Terry who shut down Lower Dauphins passing game with 4 passes defended.  The Huskies look to continue their winning streak next week on the road versus an undefeated Gettysburg team.
