Rebounding from tough overtime loss to Huntingdon, the Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team took care of Clearfield, winning 2-0 on Thursday.
Savanna Albright started out the scoring off an assist from
Makenzie Bickle at 4:02.
At 57:25, the Lady Eagles struck again as Sybil Thompson off a pass from Adrienne Hacker found the net, upping the score to a 2-0 final.
“Savanna Albright put us on the board early again with a nice finish from great Makenzie Bickle cross. We held possession well and we’re creating good opportunities but we were having some trouble in the final third,” said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore. “Clearfield pressed us pretty hard at the start of the 2nd half but the defense held tough. Adrienne played a beautiful through ball to Sybil who timed it perfectly and finished the ball. That iced the game for us and we held them for the win.”
The Lady Bisons led in corners 2-0 while the eagles out shot Clearfield 9-5.
In the save department, Bald Eagle goalie Makayla Spicer finished with five.
