Wednesday afternoon, the Mifflin County cross country teams competed in Altoona. The junior high boys’ team had a strong showing with Craig Whitenight finishing first with a time of 9:37. Levi Anderson (10:29) and Benny Ishler (10:32) took the 2nd and 3rd place spot, respectively. The boys continue to improve their overall times in preparation for attending the Lock Haven University Pennsylvania Middle School Championship on Saturday, October 19th. For the junior high girls’, Corinne McConahy (13:20) and Carys Morgan (13:21) both improved their times since running the Altoona Mountain Lion Invitational less than two weeks ago. they will also be competing at Lock Haven. Ellie Rowe finished with a time of 18:14.
