Mifflin County softball slugger Arika Henry notched her varsity first home run of her career helping the Lady Huskies outlast Red Land 10-7 in Friday action.

Jalee Bodtorf led the offensive charge as well posting two hits in the contest.

Picking up the win on the night was Madison Wolfgang as she went just over four innings striking out 10.

Mifflin County opened the first inning plating a run.

Henry started things with a home run.

Red Land tied things in the third, plating a run.

In the third, the Lady Huskies briefly went ahead for the second time adding another run.

Riley Hine reached on a walk and then later scored on a wild pitch, making it a 2-1 contest.

But in the bottom of the inning Red Land rallied for six to go ahead of the Huskies 7-2.

But MIfflin County would not go down without a fight. The comeback would begin in the fourth where they added a run, cutting it to just a four-run deficit.

Bodtorf started the fourth with a single. Mackenna Yoder followed with a single, putting Bodtorf in scoring position. She would later score on a fielders choice by Hine.

It would be a seven-run fifth that would put the Huskies back on top and it would be a lead they would never relinquished.
