COCOLAMUS – It was sweet perfection!

East Juniata’s Marley Wilson picked up a Perfect game Monday against Sugar Valley in the Lady Tigers 15-0 three inning home match up.

Offensively, patience, timely hitting and smart base running put East Juniata on top early and they never looked back.

Leading the charge was a long list of players, finishing in multiple hits on the day were Ryley Dressler (3-for-3,  2RBIs, 3 runs), Macy Buskey (2-for-3, 4 RBIs, run) and Wilson (2-for-2 2RBIs, 2 runs).

Buskey shined posting two triples on the afternoon.

“I think there is definitely some positives to take out of tonight. We played Sugar Valley last year and while we did win that game. I thought  our offensive game has really improved since last year,” said East Juniata coach Lauren Cheran. “We’re making good contact. We’re running bases very well. “

After sending the Phoenix down in order in the first, the Tigers got going immediately.

Lead off hitter Maddie Snyder was hit by a pitch to start things off. Dressler brought in Snyder as she blasted a shot into right centerfield, making it a 1-0 contest with the triple.

Her time on base was short when teammate Brenna Watts singled in Dressler, upping it to a 2-0 advantage.

With one out, Emma Willow joined Watts on the base paths with a walk, setting the stage for Wilson.

Wilson helped her own cause as she blasted a 2RBI single into the hole in right field. She would score the Tigers last run of the inning, scoring on an error by Sugar Valley.

In the second, it would be another quick inning for the Lady Tigers when Wilson set down the batters once again in order.

Things continued to roll for the East Juniata offense as they continued to pound out the hits. All in all in the second inning saw the Tigers bring 13 batters to the plate in the inning with six hits, upping the home team’s lead to 14.

East Juniata finished off the game in the third.

Leading off the inning, Kennedy Seigler – Lewis started things with a walk. Teammate Maggie Burdge followed with a walk of her own.

Grace Hibbs ended things when she roped a single back the middle scoring Lewis.
