ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Bowling Green Falcons had a very successful day at the GVSU Big Meet on Friday (Feb. 10), with eight competitors earning a PR and six competitors recording a time or mark that ranks in the top-16 in program history. Zaresha Neal matched her PR in the shot put with a mark that currently stands at 11th in the NCAA, while Katerina Shuble ran the second-fastest mile in school history. Distance runners Olivia Collett, Kristin Groppe, Regina Rose, and Hunter Sidle all registered PRs, as did sprinters Darian Braddix, Jemeila Hunter, and Ashley Kisor. Raegan Burkey added a PR in the 800 and the 4×400 relay team notched the eighth-fastest time in school history.

– Zaresha Neal matched her shot put PR with a mark of 56-4.75 (17.19m). This currently ranks 11th in the NCAA and is tied for fourth in school history. She has three of the top 10 and eight of the top 20 marks in school history.
– Katerina Shuble ran the mile in 4:49.00, marking a PR and the second-best time in program history. She now holds six of the top 11 mile times in school history.
– The 4×400 relay team of Darian Braddix, DaMya Barker, Bianca Staples, and Jemeila Hunter won the event in 3:48.50. This is the eighth-best time in school history, with only five other quartets recording faster times.
– Jemeila Hunter won the early section of the 400 with a PR of 56.34. This time is 11th-best in school history, with only five other runners racing a faster time.
– Ashley Kisor also recorded a PR in the 400, finishing in 58.93.
– Darian Braddix logged a PR for the second consecutive week, running the 200 in 25.20.
– Kailee Perry’s 3K time of 9:53.90 ranks 16th in school history. She holds six of the top 16 marks in program history.
– Kristin Groppe also added a PR, racing the 3000 in 10:33.47. This is her second straight meet tallying a PR in the 3K.
– Fellow distance runners Olivia Collett (17:05.69) and Regina Rose (17:40.92) recorded PRs in the 5K. Collett’s time is ninth in school history, with only three other runners recording faster times.
– In the 800, Raegan Burkey had a PR with her time of 2:17.67.
– Morgan Patterson’s 60 hurdles prelim time of 8.79 is 11th in program history and is only 0.02 seconds shy of her PR. Only four athletes have recorded a faster time in program history.
– Five Falcons competed in the men’s 5K, with AJ Haffa running a team-best 15:08.59. Hunter Sidle recorded a PR of 15:41.02.
– Reagan Emberton threw a mark of 13.84m in the shot put, just 0.04m shy of her PR.
