In a Wednesday evening contest, Centre County met Juniata County when the Juniata girls basketball team traveled to do battle with Bellefonte in a non-league contest.
On Senior night, the Lady Raiders honored their players muscling out a 34-31 victory.
The Lady Raiders honored Emma Rossman, Sydney Hamilton and Alexis Kopcha.
Leading Bellefonte offensively were Emma Rossman and MacKenzie Ellenberger with eight points.
Juniata was led by Shalelyn Armstrong’s 10-point effort and Mariska Beward’s nine.
Bellefonte opened the contest taking a 10-8 advantage after one.
In the second, Juniata battled back in the second keeping the Lady Raiders to three while it’s offense posted eight.
Going into the intermission, Juniata held a 16-13 lead.
Bellefonte bounced back after the half, posting a 12-2 third period effort.
The Lady Indians refused to go away and mounted a 13-point effort but it wasn’t enough as Bellefonte was able to notch its third victory.
With the loss, Juniata falls to 10-9 Overall 7-5.
Next up for the Indians are East Juniata at Juniata Friday while Bellefonte travels to Philipsburg-Osceola today.
