COCOLAMUS -Reaching a milestone!

East Juniata coach Travis Quici reached the 200-win plateau with the East Juniata girls basketball team victory over Newport.

The Lady Tigers defeated the Buffaloes 34-20 in TVAA basketball action.

Sara Brackbill led the offense, posting a game-high 16 points for the Tigers.

Cadee Becker followed up with a 9-point effort in the win.

Newport led early on as the broke out to a 9-2 first quarter lead.

However, East Juniata would battle right back in the second picking up 15 points while holding the Buffaloes to only seven.

Going into the intermission, Newport led by one, 17-16.

Coming out of the intermission, the East Juniata defense clamped down on Newport’s offense, allowing only two points in the third and two in the fourth.

East Juniata added 21 in the second half in giving their coach his 200th career victory.
