Saturday night the MIfflin County girls basketball team continues to impress as they picked up a strong victory at home against Palmyra, taking the contest 56-38.
Marissa Gingrich provided the senior leadership in the weekend contest posting 21 points.
Teammate Jalee Bodtorf followed Gingrich in the scoring department finishing with a 9-point effort.
Rounding out the leading scorers for the Lady Huskies was Amelia Leister with a solid 8-point contribution.
“Solid home win against a scrappy
Palmyra team,” said MIfflin County head coach Aaron Gingrich. “We are getting better each game, but you could see some nerves from our younger players in their first varsity home game”
“Once we settled in, and started executing on offense, we took control of the game”
Mifflin County will be back at it on Tuesday as they travel to Milton Hershey.
